Dr. Vijay Patel attended medical school in India before emigrating to the United States in 1994. Dr. Patel graduated among the top 10 in his medical school class. He, then, completed his residency at Interfaith Center of New York from 1998-2001, where he was awarded the Charles Cherubin Award for Research. He became a critical care fellow at The Mount Sinai Hospital for a year and an intensivist. Before starting his own practice, Dr. Patel participated in a heart failure research fellowship for two years. As a board-certified internal medicine doctor in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Dr. Patel has had years of experience and serves patients throughout Monmouth and Middlesex County. Dr. Patel has affiliations with Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge, Bay Shore Medical Center, and JFK Medical Center.
